How to structure a groom speech

Tips before you stand up
- Three to five minutes. Grooms who ramble through thank-yous lose the room before the good part.
- Group your thank-yous so the speech doesn't become a list of names.
- Look at your partner when you get to the personal part, not at your notes.
- In the UK the groom traditionally toasts the bridesmaids. Add that in Other requests if it applies.
- Give the best man a gentle, friendly jab. He's about to return the favor.
